The highlight of our trip was a 56km kora around Mt. Kailash.The holiest mountain in Tibet. We were very lucky to see Mt. Kailash and it was a wonderful first day. But finally we failed as we were not prepared enough for a hike like that. However, it was an amazing experience and who knows maybe we’ll return on day and finish the kora.                         |

Our accommodation was based in Darchen. A small village very close to Mt Kailash. The are a few shops and some restaurants but I heartily recommend a place called „Northeast Restaurant„. The staff (a couple) was so sweet and the food was fresh cooked and very delicious. Darchen is also the place where our kora begins.
